Privacy policy

This is a placeholder drafted for the private beta. It describes our intended practices but has not been reviewed by counsel. Replace it with a lawyer reviewed policy before public launch or App Store submission.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit and, optionally, the first name you provide. We also record how you reached the site so we can understand which channels bring people to Share.

If you use the Share app, we store your phone number, your name, your date of birth, the trips you take part in, and the messages you send in trip chats.

What we do not collect

We never store full payment card numbers. Card details go directly to our payment processor, and we only keep a token plus the last four digits and card type.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How we use it

Waitlist emails are used only to send you an invite and occasional updates about the beta. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Trip data is used to operate the product: proposing dates that work for the group, booking with our travel partners, and splitting payments across travelers.

Third parties

Share works with service providers to deliver the product, including payment processing, SMS delivery, travel inventory and booking, and AI assistance. These providers receive only the data needed to perform their function.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry or your account at any time by emailing hello@sharetravel.app.
